| Dear
Subscriber,
Do you know a certain someone who snores
thru the night, keeps you awake, or you see them stop
breathing while asleep? Have you heard of OSA; Obstructive
Sleep Apnea? Poor sleep caused by sleep apnea is a major
public health situation. Each night millions of men and women
wage a life and death struggle with this little recognized
illness, sleep apnea syndrome. As you struggle to
breathe, the balance of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood
becomes upset, this imbalance stimulates the brain to arouse
you, so the muscles of the tongue and throat can increase in
size for the airway. These slight arousals are the leading
cause to sleep deprivation. Both you and your bed partner can
suffer from sleep deprivation. Sleep deprivation can cause a
sequence of problems like a compromised immune system, poor
mental and emotional health, irritability, and slower reaction
times, this can jeopardize your relationships, weather it’s in
the work place, personal, and even small tasks as driving, and
interaction. |

The primary treatment of choice for OSA is
CPAP. Continuous Positive Airway Pressure was available in the
United States in 1985, and is a highly effective
well-tolerated therapy. This continuous positive airway
pressure pneumatically splints the upper airway throughout the
breathing cycle. The level of airway pressure should be
determined for each patient by a sleep specialist. There are
several CPAP machines available for a variation of patients,
with different needs.

A lot of American’s have chosen to take what
they think is an easy way out to get some sleep, by
self-diagnosing with taking sleep aids. The thought of a pill
that can solve the problem quickly is very appealing. It has
been proven that sleep aids can exacerbate the problem over
the long term. Did you know that the main ingredient of
Over-the-Counter sleep aids is antihistamine (which is used to
treat allergies) and is what causes you to become sleepy or
drowsy? OTC sleep aids are packed with dangerous side
effects, and the mental and physical side effects of your own
body going thru sleep deprivation, fighting with the side
effects of the OTC sleep aids, can cause extreme health
issues.

The staff
at MySleepApnea.com has helped me immensely! I would wake up
feeling very tired, I experienced loss of memory, and would
drag me feet throughout the day. It was very difficult to stay
awake during the day and sometimes would doze off at work.
However, everything changed when I took the home sleep test.
After a thorough assessment, the physician who read my sleep study recommended
that I should try CPAP treatment. As soon as I began
treatment, I felt more energized, had more stamina and even
decided to go to the gym and lose those extra pounds I was
carrying. Since then my life has changed for the better. Thank
you MySleepApnea.com for giving me back my health, energy and
strength.

When I was first diagnosed with the symptoms of
Sleep Apnea, I didn’t know what to expect. The result of a
home sleep study provided by MySleepApnea.com turned out to be
very revealing. If I did not respond to the findings of this
(sleep study) my future health prospects were dim at
best.
Since I’ve been prescribed with a CPAP machine,
several pleasant results have occurred:
1. I began sleeping
longer and am now feeling more rested.
2. There is a
noticeable improvement in my energy throughout the day.
3.
As for my wife, there’s no more snoring!

Out of nowhere-three
days of non-stop no sleeping...I was at my wits’ end and
finally phoned my doctor for a prescription. Ambien was
prescribed…but it did not work, then trazodone, then six
months of interrupted sleep and different medications, and I
felt like I was losing my mind. I sat down did some much
needed research and found about a sleep test I could take at
home! I contacted MySleepApnea.com; there I spoke with someone
who had answers for what seemed like my endless mountains of
questions! They sent me the test, it was easy, convenient, and
I was comfortable! The results took about 2-3 days, and sure
enough there it was in black and white, I was confirmed for
having severe obstructive sleep apnea. They put me on a ramp
capability Auto CPAP machine, and now I sleep better then my
infant! Thanks MySleepApnea.com!
